Here are simple steps to designate a gift of hospice care in your will:
- Tell your lawyer that you wish to leave a gift to the Cowichan Valley Hospice Society in your will.
- In the will include language provided by your lawyer or similar to the following example:
- I, name _________, bequeath to the Cowichan Valley Hospice Society of 3122 Gibbins Road, Duncan, BC V9L 1G2 , Charitable Tax Number: 118878388 RR 0001 percent of the residue of my estate (or a specific amount______ ) for its own sole and only use, absolutely.
- Please ask your lawyer to send a copy of the relevant clauses of your will to Holly Bowen, Fund Development Coordinator, at Holly@cowichanhospice.org
